NK with Nexuiz or Xonotic?

We all know what the situation is about Nexuiz project, the question remains for which the project our clan decide Nexuiz or xonotic?

Iam for nexuiz.....

i dont see, how we (meaning all current nexuiz players) have any choice. ALL developers have left nexuiz and switched to xonotic. so we can either stay with nex 2.5.2 forever and wait until the master server is shut down or switch to xonotic, too.

Why to swith btw? when xonotic will be released, for first few weeks (months?) there will be people playing both games. So you could be multigaming clan the question could be about your server. But i think it also should depend on popularity of xonotic.

I know that there will be probably a day when there would be hard to find anyone on nexuiz servers, but it will not be tommorow, not even next month.

I won't vote because it seems to be pointless. Choice, I think, isn't ours. It depends of future develompents.

Probably Nexuiz become only console game and developing PC game on free licence will be abandoned.

Probably community associated with Xonotic will be able to build new version of Nexuiz - Xonotic.

But PROBABLY. What will happen we will see in the future.

according to sources in the near future open free Nexuiz variant which is called xonotic, all developers are already working on this project and promise a nice change, so this is our common debate that our clan was always a community of people for open source game.

Xonotix team promise:

Game Changes:

* A new set of player models and animations
* A new set of sounds
* New music
* Default maps will get a makeover
* New stronger bot AI
* New names for weapons and gamemodes (especially ones using the “nex” prefix)
* Low quality content will be dropped and replaced with higher quality ones

Project Changes:

* Use of GIT versioning system instead of SVN
* Better attention to marketing and public relations
* A more defined artistic direction
* More emphasis on recruiting
* Better organization of contributors
* More focus on community activities (tournaments, contests, etc)
* More frequent releases
* Global player stats tracking system, supporting anonymous player as well
