I've just seen the whole "zeitgeist the movie" – two hours :/
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think there's a bit too much speculation, particularly in the first part. It seems that the filmmaker may have chosen only the parts of history, which followed his statement. I know that conspiracys and secret agencies are not only a part of the past, but that they also play a role in the present. However, I' don't believe that they have enough power to control the course of history. Maybe they try to control it…with colour revolutions or whatever.
I know that some examples of false flag operations in the movie are true and I also think that something is wrong with 9/11. I have read some stuff from Daniele Ganser, a Swiss historian, who made some researches about "NATO’s Secret Armies" in Europe.

One way or another, a world government is a problem… because, as carbon atoms in a diamond, the people will lose their freedom in such a system. But you probably cannot stop the development without stop the technological progress and you cannot stop the technological progress without causing the destruction of any form of modern society. It's what Theodore Kaczynski wrote in the Unabomber Manifesto and, unfortunately, it is not in the movie. The figures/organisations in the background are just random creatures.

I think the same anjel. I should probably have written that people will lose their last little bit of freedom, which already is limited to insignificant decisions.

I have watched the movie, zeitgeist addendum, very interesting and I also think that this movie is better than the previous one. But I don't agree with the conclusion that the monetary system is the main problem. As vaguely mentioned above, I think that every system, if it will stay alive, needs organisation, or to be more precise, every system needs to reduce the freedom of an individual. The more complex a system, the less autonomy is tolerated (carbon atom :).

Rather than the monetary system it's the technology which has efficiency and rationalization as its ultimate aim. Technology requires a functioning and complex structure and creates more and more complexity. If you don't believe it, just take a look at what is needed to create a computer. Every single shit has to work, and even nations have to work together. It also means that the democracy is not here to give us a choice, it's just here because it works best with in the current state of the technology. In other words, the only choice we have is to choose the color of our car. I think for the same reason the monetary system is as it is today.

ok for the actual monetary system but I think that gold wouldn't be better than paper. Gold standard would even be worse than the fiat money. The interest will not disappear as well as central banks and it doesn't matter if the money factories are in the hands of owners of gold mines or in those of bankers, nobody will give you money for nothing. It would also be a big problem for countries that don't own this resource or for countries that are incapable of defending it. And the same can be applied to most other sectors, in considering that there are other ways to force people into slavery than debt. Gold standard cannot counter the concentration of money and power. It would even deteriorate the situation.
And by the way, if American people would like to reduce their dept, they have the choice to lose almost everything or to get involved in some serious problem with other countries (China for example). The first way is that of reducing or maintaining the money supply and the second that of currency devaluation. They live on credit.
A piece of gold as well as certificate of debt is based on a belief system. But last one is a booster for the economy.

Yes. Otro mundo must be born on ashes of this one. Take a look on venus project mentioned in Zeitgeist. There is no way to evolve from this to that. Now way. It just has to be re-built.
About that destruction... I see this as a time bomb, it will go off any second. Destroying itself and with a lot of collateral damage. After that, if we live... We must make shure that we dont make so much mistakes. More important, we need to be able to see out mistakes, and correct them. We could do it now, but it is too late, isnt it? Mentality of ppl worldwide is too fu**ed up allready.
