Nesquicks 1on1 NK DM Tournament

Yo people,
Let's try this thing and make it work.

Intro
As some of you may know I have a large affection of playing 1on1 DM on the NK servers. We've actually gotten a few really good newcomers on the dm scene recently and I would like to host a tournament to welcome them and perhaps to attract some more new players to the scene. With some new rules/guidelines I hope to make this work pretty smoothly. Everyone is welcome to join, but it might help you if you've at least tried DM before. After I've gotten enough contestants I will set up the rooster in a good way so we hopefully get as even matches as possible right from the start. I could also do it randomly if people think that is better but I'd like to think that it is easier to make it interesting for all contestants if they meet people closer to their level. I might be wrong though and feel free to send me some input if you have any better ideas.

Server: NK 1on1
Last day to apply/starting date: Friday 10/8 16:00 UTC.
Fraglimit: 30
Timelimit: inf
Winner: Best of 5 rounds.
Map info: Either you decide the first map together, or you come to me and we'll do a cointoss. After the first map is played the looser of each round decides the next map. Each map can only be picked once.

It might be a good idea to "vcall timelimit 999" before the round starts if you think it might take longer than 20 minutes.

To participate
Write in this thread or send me a pm on irc.
You have to give me your mail adress to signup, this is so that I have a way of contacting you and a way to schedule matches.
Use of irc and the channels #thebadasschoobs and #Nude.dudes is preferred though.
It would also be nice if you can announce in this thread when you schedule matches so people can spectate (not required).
DO NOT FORGET TO RECORD DEMOS AND TAKE SCREENSHOTS OF THE GAMES.

If you have any questions, suggestions for changes, or other stuff to say feel free to pm me on irc or on this forum.

I just want to point two things out.

#1 The only thing that happens on the 10/8 is that it is the last day to apply and the opponents will be announced. Only a few matches will probably be played on that day. The goal is to have all the first matches played before the end of the next weekend (19/. So there should be plenty of time to schedule a time to fight. However, notify me if you plan to be gone for the first couple of days so I can relay that to your opponent.

#2 I will not write you up as a participants if you don't give me your email. If you don't want to give me your real email, set up a new one in gmail or whatever and forward it to your real one. I will only use the email if we can't get a hold of you any other way / you disappear without telling us.

Well, that's it. I hope to get at least 18 people who sign up. At this rate there might be more though. There is after all plenty of time left.

But i cant tell you guys yet if i will or not.
I will post here when i know for sure that i will have time to play.
I didnt play for a while and maybe need some train before.
Hopefully see you guys soon on server
Havent seen and talked to you guys for long time.

Important info

• Check the maplist before you start (not all the maps on the server is there).
  
• Choose first map together, after that looser chooses map.
  
• Take screenshots and record demos.
  
• Only play on the NK server, prophets server has different settings.
  
• You make contact with your opponent yourself and schedule a time, most people are pretty active so you should be able to find them on the servers, otherwise use the list below. If all else fails call me and I will mail them a message. ^^

Yes, because some problems with Chitanda, Baby, and Vega the tournament was stalled. I have recently started of making a new invite only tournament that might start in a few weeks. But I want to finish this first. So I made the still active players win on walkover and me and Gimbel played our semi-final this weekend. (video and screens below)
