Hi NK's, today I downloaded the latest version Neuxuiz 2.5.2 and I played a little bit.
When game starts everything is ok, I connect to the server, start to play the game,
everything is still ok, but after a few seconds the sound stops.

Do you ever get a similar problem? Running on 64bit, more info:
Linux 2.6.31-14-# 48-generic Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 16 14:05:01 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU / Linux

I know that version 2.5.1 or older works ok and I don't have any problem with sound in others applications...

That is common pulseaudio problem. Try to live without it, it works for me. On archlinux, though.

Maybe kmix is better from pulseadio .

dunno martin but kernel 2.6.31 have great suport,maybe try run nexuiz_x64.sdl coz .glx have problem with audio

running ./nexuiz-linux-x86_64-sdl didn't help. Sound sometimes still disappear ... if I try to quit a game by pressing F10 when sound disappear, game totally freeze. After that I usually switch to another console and kill Nexuiz, but very often after killing nexuiz, monitor starts to blink , i can see only stripes(white and red). (after that only reset pc helps - cannot switch to console again or can see anything only those stripes )

Do you have any similar experiences?

I think that this problem isn't problem of Nexuiz but system (ubuntu), because same problem occurs when I play Urban Terror

on my computer with system of Xubuntu 9.10 and sound card x-fi have everything in order, is it pulseaudia problem in ubuntu 9.10, try fedora 12 or debian where everything would be okay or wait for fixed bug in update pulseaudio
