Well , hey @ all first ...

i was trying to play some nex today ... and yea...
almost all nice dm and 1on1 minsta servers are gone .... ( well all which i used to play on are gone )
At the moment theres no reason for me to keep playing ... the new xonotic release is crap in my eyes...
movement is bad and more more things which i dun like.
So ... guess ill do a break again , maybe xonotic will / can improve things ... gameplay and such things.
For now ... ill take a break untill theres a good reason to play again
No nice servers on nex left yet ... and xonotic , i dont like .

You should set up a NK server on Xonotic.... There should be no problem to make it look and feel exactly like your Nexuiz servers does now... I know eL_Bart0 from DTG is moving over our servers in the future. They will work like on Nexuiz.

well if the movement parts will improve in a good way ... ill play xonotic i guess .... but if it will stay like now? nono^^

Well I think u right but its not servers but ppl. There is less and less ppl active playing Nex. DM and 1on1 is deserted. Clans are gone. Where are PK, prophets, exiles, catana and else I dunno. Year ago on DM/1on1 most times I drop in is saw many clan tags. Now very, very few. Only NKs seems to be quite active.

Servers r not a problem. PK 2.5.2 servers r gone (= all Iron servers). Why I dunno but I'm nearly sure its temporary. NK DM servers gone too but probably tommorow it will back. And probably it will back as 2 servers.

Today I started Nex, I didn't find any PK 2.5.2 server so I left. For me too only NK/PK servers r ones I play. But servers will reappear. However if ppl don't Nex will die quite soon.

irons servers are gone to xonotic if im right , was on xonotic few mins today and saw some pk servers on it .... who else when not iron would host one there ... so yea...

I agree with you. NK and PK servers are best for me. It is true that the servers go only a few people. I remember times when I run Nexuiz evening and servers were full. Those days are gone. We'll see how it all ends...
Today I played 2-3 games on Pk server in Xonotic... It's full of lags. I hope that this will improve over time

I too have tried Xonotic, and didn't really liked it with default settings, but I know DTG are working to get their servers as similar as they are now after the switch, and I don't see why once settings have been found they can't be spread around to all the servers that might be interested in this.

I don't like the direction Xonotic has taken, and I don't like the idea the community will be fragmented because of this change, but if we start bailing out from playing Nexuiz right now, then we have already lost in trying to make it as closer to what Nexuiz is right now, because if players starts to leave, nobody will invest time in trying to keep the community alive.

After all, as long as we hang out together and we keep together, there will be interest in having a handful of Nexuiz servers out there. Hey, we might even manage to lose some n00bs (on CTF especially) and play with less spawn-killers around

Fortunatelly Mo was wrong and Iron servers didn't migrate to Xonotic. Its preview version. Till final I think there will be at least half a year. Switiching to something what isn't even beta version more than only couple testing servers is a stupidity in my opinion.

There r blind rush to Xonotic but I think owners of most popular server will keep enough rationality.

I have some news, first of all it's now confirmed that there is no problem transferring Nexuiz physics to Xonotic, you can go to Akaris Testserver and check it out.

Secondly there is a new game mode I hope that many of the NK dm players will be interested in. It's called Freezetag. It brings a lot more teamwork to the TDM =D

I know this mode. I tried it a few days ago. But I do not know whether it will be a favorite mode, I think will be more preferred classical DM
